The Intuity Method
Five clear steps that take you from “where do I even start?” to a business that’s ready to win, deliver, and grow.
A Process You Can See From Day One
Federal contracting rewards businesses that are prepared, not just interested. Preparation is easier when you can see the whole path.
Every Intuity engagement follows the same five steps, whether you’re registering for your first opportunity or rebuilding how your team delivers. You always know where you are, what comes next, and what you’re getting.
Discover. Diagnose. Design. Deploy. Develop.
Discover
We start by understanding your business, not just your project.
We learn your goals, your customers, how your team works today, and where you want the business to go. If federal contracting is new to you, this is also where your first questions get answered.
We also ask one question up front: if we met a year from now and you called this one of the best investments your business ever made, what would have changed? Your answer becomes the yardstick for everything that follows.
- What happens: a short questionnaire, conversations with you and your key people, plus a review of your documents, systems and numbers. For larger teams, we add a confidential staff survey that only Intuity sees
- You walk away with: a clear, written picture of where your business stands today, built on evidence instead of guesswork, plus any quick wins we spot along the way
- Typical timing: a few days for an owner-led business; up to three weeks for a larger team
Diagnose
Next, we identify what’s actually holding you back.
Not symptoms. Root causes. Sometimes it’s proposals. Sometimes it’s systems or strategy. Sometimes it’s simply not knowing which opportunities fit your business.
- What happens: we check what we heard against what your documents and numbers show, map how the work actually flows, and score each area of the business
- You walk away with: a Readiness Scorecard, and the one or two constraints that will unlock the most progress once they’re fixed
- Typical timing: a few days to a week
Design
Then we build a practical roadmap.
Not a 150-page report. A plan your team can actually carry out, with clear priorities, measurable outcomes, and next steps.
- What happens: we map the work, the order to do it in, and who does what
- You walk away with: a Growth Roadmap and a 90-day action plan, with priorities, owners and ways to measure progress
- Typical timing: one to two weeks
Deploy
Now we put the plan into action, alongside you.
Depending on your roadmap, that might mean registrations and certifications, a proposal, new processes, automation, AI tools, or training for your team. We work in short cycles so you see progress early.
- What happens: hands-on execution, with regular check-ins and adjustments
- You walk away with: the finished work for each priority on your roadmap, whether that’s a submitted proposal, a working system, or a trained team
- Typical timing: depends on your roadmap; most priorities are delivered in 30 to 90 days
Develop
This is where most consultants disappear. We don’t.
We measure what’s working, refine what isn’t, and prepare you for what’s next. Every engagement ends with documentation and training, so your team can keep going without us. Our test is simple: if we left tomorrow, would your business keep improving?
- What happens: results review, improvements, and a handover
- You walk away with: documented processes, a team that knows how to run them, and a review of results against the goals you set in Discover
- Typical timing: a handover at the end of each project, with optional quarterly check-ins after that
Start With the Intuity Readiness Assessment
The first three steps come as one package with a fixed fee, quoted after your free intro call, so you know the cost and the timeline before we begin. It comes in three versions, depending on what you need.
Federal Readiness
Best for: Owner-led businesses new to federal contracting
What we look at: Registrations and certifications, capabilities, past performance, target opportunities, and capacity to deliver
How we gather it: A questionnaire, a conversation with the owner, and a document review
Operations and Process
Best for: Any business whose processes or systems are slowing it down
What we look at: How the work flows today, where time and information get lost, and which tools would fit
How we gather it: A questionnaire, process mapping sessions, and a review of your current tools and records
Whole Organization
Best for: Established teams that want to grow, or fix what’s holding them back
What we look at: Leadership, strategy, business development, proposals, operations, delivery, and technology
How we gather it: Leadership interviews, a confidential staff survey, a review of documents and performance data, and sitting in on working meetings
You receive
- A Readiness Scorecard that rates each area of your business
- A Growth Roadmap with clear priorities
- A 90-Day Action Plan you can start on immediately
- A walkthrough session to talk through the findings
The roadmap is yours. Carry it out with us, with your own team, or both.
A Stronger Business, Not Just a Finished Project
The end result isn’t a proposal, a report, or a new tool. It’s a business that’s more confident, more capable, and better prepared for long-term growth.
Before Intuity
- Federal contracting feels overwhelming
- You chase every opportunity
- Processes live in people’s heads
- You depend on outside help
After Intuity
- Federal contracting feels achievable
- You know which opportunities fit your business
- Repeatable systems support your growth
- Your team can pursue, win, and deliver on its own
We don’t measure our success by the contracts you win. We measure it by the confidence, capability, and systems you gain along the way.
From Poolside to Paid
A family-run pool service company was running its routes on paper cards and an ageing database. In Discover, a short questionnaire and working sessions showed where the time was going. In Diagnose, we mapped every step from service visit to payment and traced exactly where time, accuracy and cash flow were slipping. In Design, we turned those findings into clear requirements and compared software options against them. In Deploy, we supported testing, rollout and training. Today, Defender Pools goes from poolside to paid in one automated workflow, with hours saved each week, more accurate and timely invoices, and room to scale.
Questions About Working Together
The Readiness Assessment, which covers Discover, Diagnose and Design, takes two to six weeks depending on the size of your business. After that it depends on your roadmap; most priorities are delivered in 30 to 90 days.
No. You can start with the Readiness Assessment and decide what comes next once you see the roadmap. It’s yours to keep either way.
The first conversation is a free 30-minute call. The Readiness Assessment is a fixed fee, which we quote after that call and agree before we begin. Work after that is quoted project by project from your roadmap, so there are no open-ended bills.
Every Engagement Starts With Discover
Let’s start with a conversation about where you are today and where you want to go next. The first call is free, takes no more than 30 minutes, and comes with no pressure and no jargon.
